Our home Built in 1885 in
Castorland, NY. (Northern, NY. 2005-06) about 20 mi. SE of
Watertown, NY. my office, the boys school (
Lowville Academy) and our 'Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' Branch is located in Lowville, NY about 7 mi. South of our home. Lowville has the destinction of having the highest recorded 1 day snow fall in the U.S. (77 inches in 24 hours). The home is about 3200 sf. (all three floors) on 1.5 acres, swimming pool, huge barn that has been used for parties, and would fit for cars on main level. The whole lot is grass and trees, Kit was our mower (riding tractor came with home). We absolutly loved it there. We were in the process of renovating the inside when we moved.

A party on the property, top of hill under some trees, it was a gorgeous view, this was a going away party for Brant. Brant Graduated from the Academy and wanted to get back to S.L.C. to go to school there. (still waiting for that, I guess work got in the way).

Castorland, NY. Our home sits just below the ridge on the far side of the sunshine there.

Kit and Brants Friends posing for picture outside the barn. These where a great bunch of kids. The would do everything together, they never got bored in such a small town, they managed to find new and inventive ways to entertain themselves (that didn't involve Law Enforcement). Several went on to play high level college lacross.

The Amish were a big part of our community. I just love and admire them for their convictions. Talking with this gentleman he said he doesn't normally need six horse's to a team but he was training two of the horses in the middle, that's just what they do.

I worked for Vestas American Wind Technology, My assignment was to establish the site for the erection of 197 V-82 wind turbines, hire the crews, establish the office, warehousing and equipment. Assist in construction and manage turbines for the 5 year warrenty period. This was an airial view at the begining of the errection process.

We needed winter access to the turbines, and due to the heavy snow fall in this area, these were our work horses. Piston Bullies. We had 5 but one is in the shop for service when I took this picture. We have plows and gang boxes for these as well as wenches. I even set them up with GPS so we couldn't get lost in a snow storm (our site covered 60 sq. miles)

A turbine to give you prospective of size.

I took this picture from the top of turbine, looking NW over construction, Look where the sunshine is and you will see a crane in process of lifting tower section.

A company we use out of California (Rope Partners) to rebuild damaged blades. Lightining was a big problem for us and these guys loved their work. They are an asortment of rock climbers and surfers who combined their skills to create this company. They do great work.

Brant, #7 playing for Lowville Academy Lacross team. This was a sport I had never seen, but I love it now. Fascinating to watch.

When Sheri and I went house hunting, we naturally stopped by the school the boys would be attending to register them and meet the facilty. Their Baseball coach was excited to here we had a baseball player comming for the new year. Kit started right away.

Although Brant did not start, (It was his first exposure to the game of lacross) the guys on the team were so excited to have him in the game playing, They were great friends...
